Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to visit the executive mansion.

He added that he contacted her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a shooting on last Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both soldiers of the state Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” Trump informed reporters. “And similarly with him, recover or not.”

Attendees assembled over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Beckstrom.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of Trump’s federal initiative to aid public safety in Washington DC.

She carried herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that encouraged those around her,” Hankins, the principal of Beckstrom’s previous school, told the press. “She was caring, considerate and always willing to assist people.”

Authorities have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of homicide and charges of violent assault while armed.
