The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to players forming strong opinions on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

With numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of either and enjoy a strong ally; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this total queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s official description also states its ability to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Well, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Lion brings to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to worry even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities ahead of time? That exudes the identical energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
