Passionate supporters of the actress are calling for that a person who breached a barricade and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the Australian man pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram account contains clips of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Numerous of Singapore supporters had waited to see the cast of Wicked

Many of fans had assembled in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the popular stage show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two very different characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, securing a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
