Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks succeed periods of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were bracing for further attacks.
