Los Angeles experienced widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an translator.
The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

However, the team owner received a less warm reception at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering appear to show him walking onstage to a mix of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
