Esteemed Star The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Dies at the Age of Sixty.
American entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in iconic TV shows such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor died at home in Los Angeles on Monday after undergoing treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, as reported by reports.
"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his relatives stated in a announcement.
They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
A Notable Television Career
Finn's first television role was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he played the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as the character Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on several well-known programs, like:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
He was most recognized for portraying the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles include "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
Beyond the Screen
Away from his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe called Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils throughout the years and it would be difficult to find a person anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
In a tribute, fellow actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared publicly.
Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
