The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that draws so many fans into the NFL

That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to creep back into a top spot they formerly held, with a remaining games that provides them an edge over their eight and two rivals

Meanwhile in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a major confrontation next week, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen try too much or was it just a poor performance for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a row against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening result - and performance

MVP Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third period and initial scoring in the final quarter - yes Miami had 10 days to prepare but it was still a significant failure laid by one of the NFL's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two scores

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was crucial too, with Cook and teammates registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the season and slightly more than fifty percent their 161.5-yard season average

Additionally there were the three crucial turnovers, and the pair from Josh Allen specifically. An pass caught by defense in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his final quarter dropped ball that Miami converted to seven points just two plays

It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a deficit on defense and Allen trying to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the composed, disciplined, balanced Bills we've witnessed this year

Miami have served up a bit of everything this year so the jury's out on if this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the top of the American Football Conference East

In Focus - New England Identify Route to Unexpected First Place

TreVeyon Henderson running

Regarding the New England, they're among three 8-2 squads in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but are they the best?

You can pick holes in New England, Denver and the Colts really for feasting on the lesser sides, with just five of their total twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a winning record - and one example was the Indianapolis beating the Broncos

Denver defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's victory in Tampa to their prime time win in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their two defeats came in new head coach Vrabel's initial three games, with seven consecutive wins, similar to the Broncos, from that point - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to get ready was huge

Drake Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he definitely earns point for courage after taking some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to success

The defensive unit is reliable and first-year running back Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22mph this year on his first score

While you can argue who 'the top team' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the best record due to their schedule - which includes just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against the Bills

Traveling to the Ravens is challenging too, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to play twice, the Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the schedule

The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two games with the 5-4 Jacksonville to face. There is a considerable distance to go but the door is available for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Set for Next Week Clash

Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three 8-2 teams are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Rams, who each scored 40 burgers to go to seven and two before next week's Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the two in LA

Both have won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an high standard (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game

Each could easily be without a loss as too - particularly the Los Angeles as their two defeats came in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a score

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely among the top teams in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date

Top Performer - Taylor

Taylor might be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - running for 244 yards, scoring three scores and contributing an additional 42 {receiving yards
